I tried it, but I have a mac. I couldn’t find Easy Uninstaller for mac, and for the ones I tried (Apple Cleaner and Amnesia) I am not able to find anything called “safe guard” in the applications or widgets or plug-ins or anywhere.

Any ideas?

Same thing here. Found a really easy way to fix it (works with every browser).
Go to tucows.com and download “easy uninstaller”. This is a very effective program to completely get rid of all unwanted programmes. When you start up the program, you’ll find a list of all the installed items on your computer. Find “Safe Guard” (there should be 2 types) and check both the boxes. Now, just click “uninstall all checked” and your problem is solved.
