RDF.net Challenge
Tim Bray ist offizieller Besitzer der Domain RDF.net. Da er diese seit Jahren für keine sinnvollen Zwecke verwendet und sie mehr oder weniger brach liegt, hat er sich für einen Wettbewerb entschieden, bei dem der Gewinner die Rechte an der Domain übertragen bekommt [1].
Die Regeln sind relativ einfach:
To the first person or organization that presents me with an RDF-based app that I actually want to use on a regular basis (at least once per day), and which has the potential to spread virally, I hereby promise to sign over the domain name RDF.net. The rules are:
- This has to happen before January 1, 2006, and
- I am the sole judge and jury, but
- I’ll publicize anything that’s submitted formally, and my comments on it, so I’m doing this in the open, except for
- I’m busy, so I may exercise fairly brutal triage on incoming proposals and take a while to get to the ones really worth looking at, and
- If there’s serious money in it, the recipient of RDF.net is morally obligated to find a way to cut me in for a piece of the action.
